All Saints, Agassiz is proud to announce that in August, 2016 it will be celebrating it's 120th Anniversary!
In 1882 the idea of All Saints was born out of the need for a local Anglican church.  The "English Church Building Committee" was formed and Mrs. C. Agassiz (of the town's founding family) donated the land upon which the church was built.  Construction was completed in 1896 having cost $1,127.38 and the inauguration service was held on August 24th of that same year.

The "snow angel" which appears on the mountain slope behind the church (to the east) was first noticed by the Agassiz family in the 1870's and influenced the location of the church. The angel makes her annual appearance by the spring melt, although sadly, climate change and warmer winters have reduced the size of her wings in recent years.

This is our year to celebrate and we invite everyone to join us as we mark this incredible milestone in All Saints history.
