Luke 4: 21-30

Jesus in this passage enrages the Jews who grew up with him. He reminded them that historically in the scriptures God did not favour the Jews but reached out to all equally, as God loves all of God's Creation.

We sometimes want to be the only ones who are considered special. In God's eyes, we are all special. When we get inro feeling we need this "special recognition", we must ask why is this our need.

Jesus reminds us in Luke's gospel, we are all included. That is the core message of the New Testament and covenant between God and ourselves as outlined by Jesus.
